Iran Firmly Rejects MI5 Director General’s Baseless Allegations
The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in London strongly condemns and categorically rejects the recent unfounded and hostile remarks made by the Director General of the UK Security Service (MI5) on 16 October 2025.
Allegations referring to so-called “lethal plots” and “transnational aggression” attributed to the Islamic Republic of Iran are entirely baseless, irresponsible, and reflect a troubling continuation of politically motivated misrepresentation. These statements distort Iran’s principled foreign policy and undermine ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at constructive engagement between the two countries.
As repeatedly stated in the Embassy’s official communications, the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran unequivocally denies any involvement in acts of violence, kidnapping, or harassment targeting individuals in the United Kingdom or elsewhere.
Such claims are unsupported by credible evidence and contradict Iran’s consistent commitment to international law, the principle of sovereign equality, and the promotion of peaceful coexistence and international cooperation.
The Embassy urges the Government of the United Kingdom to refrain from making or amplifying unsubstantiated accusations. Instead, it calls for a responsible and constructive approach based on dialogue and mutual respect, aimed at addressing shared security concerns through lawful and diplomatic means.
The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran reaffirms its readiness to engage in such dialogue and reiterates its commitment to upholding international norms and fostering peaceful international relations.
