Quds Day, also known as International Quds Day, is a day of solidarity with the Palestinian people and a call for the liberation of Palestine from Israeli occupation. This day is a reminder of the ongoing struggle of the Palestinian people for their rights, their land, and their dignity.
As Iran’s Supreme leader, Ayatollah Khamenei stated just recently, “Israel is not a country, but a terrorist base against the nation of Palestine and other Muslim nations”, we reiterate our unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights clearly and loudly. As a nation that has always been a supporter of the Palestinian cause, Iran condemns the illegal occupation of Palestine by the Israeli regime and its ongoing human rights violations against the Palestinian people, including the continued expansion of illegal settlements, the construction of the apartheid wall, and the brutal suppression of Palestinian protests.
We also condemn the recent aggression by the Israeli regime against the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinian residents of Sheikh Jarrah. Such actions violate international law and human rights and must be condemned by the international community and all perpetrators brought into justice.
We call upon all nations and people around the world to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people and support their struggle for freedom, justice, and self-determination. We urge the international community to take immediate and effective measures to hold Israel accountable for its crimes and to ensure the rights and dignity of the Palestinian people.
Finally, we reaffirm our commitment to the Palestinian cause and our support for the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people and condemn the efforts by a few states to give legitimacy to occupied regime through Abraham Accord. We will continue to stand by them until Palestine is free and their rights are fully realized.
