More than four decades ago, the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan was named the “World Quds Day” by Imam Khomeini (May his soul rest in peace)--the late leader and founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The World Quds Day represents the solidarity and unity of the Islamic community.It also stands as a symbol of backing for the  cause of Palestine and the ongoing struggles of the oppressed people against Zionist occupation.
