Iranian Ambassador: US sanctions against other members of the UN Security Council is violation of international law
Iranian Ambassador to London Hamid Baeidinejad, described JCPOA a precise agreement and the result of a two-and-a-half years of constant efforts and unimaginable to be achieved.
Addressing the Oxford Union on Tuesday evening Oct 16th 2018, Baeidinejad added "compare JCPOA with US agreement with North Korea, one which US President Trump is boastful of, and is only a two-page document."
"How does the United States want to sanction other permanent members of the Security Council for compliance with its resolutions?", he wondered. He reitrated that this move is clear violation of international law.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Baeedinejad said Iran has never entered a proxy war with Saudi Arabia, adding that Tehran helped Damascus only legitimate government to fight against ISIL terrorist group and unlike the US, Iran entered Syria under the official invitation and permission of that nation.
