Iran Embassy rejected accusations by Daily Telegraph
The full text of Iran's response to the Daily Telegraph is as follow
Dear Sir,
The Report by the Daily Telegraph (dated 12 February 2023) titled “Iranian Terror Is a Clear and Present Danger to the UK” is full of false, baseless and fabricated accusations against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
First and foremost it is important to note that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Crops was the only organization that fought against terrorism in the region (Iraq and Syria); in circumstances that the danger was so close to Europe and no one dared to stand against it. The IRGC has been and still is the main fighter in combating terrorism and protecting innocent civilian in the whole region.
Second, Iran believes that Hezbollah and Hamas in Lebanon and Gaza are fighting against the occupation of the apartheid regime of Israel to achieve their territories. Also, they are popular in their home countries as political parties.
Third, Iran's nuclear program, which is under the strictest monitoring program of the IAEA, is a peaceful program and JCPOA which singed by 5+1 participants and is still alive has confirmed it. Iran is the only member of the deal who is abides by its commitments.
In the accusation of selling the Drones to Russia, Iran has asked time and again from Ukrainian officials to bring their evidences in a direct negotiation format in a third country and still stand for that. But no answer comes from the Ukrainians. Iran is not a mean for Ukraine for more support from its allies.
The Daily Telegraph is highly expected to cite reliable sources instead of publishing baseless claims of Israel and some terrorist organizations.
Thank you,
Press and Communication
